The Life Raft Group is super excited for our Life Fest Celebration on July 15-17 at the Torrance Marriott in beautiful Redondo Beach California.
Life Fest is the LRG’s biennial convention that brings together GIST patients, caregivers, friends and the foremost medical experts for an agenda that provides the latest updates on GIST research and treatments, as well as an opportunity to enjoy the company of old friends and new.
From the elegant gala on Friday night, where we will pay tribute to our honorees, to the inspiring story of hope presented by Dr. Mo Anderson on Sunday, the agenda will be enhanced by the beautiful setting.
For the first time this year, we have a Wild Type/Pediatric GIST track, which will include presentations by the leading experts in the field, including Dr. Lee Helman from the NIH clinic, and Dr. Michael LaQuaglia, Chief of Pediatric Surgical Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Whether you are newly diagnosed or are a long-term survivor, there will be informative sessions to increase your knowledge and enhance your chances of survival. See our agenda here:
Our theme this year is The Gift of Time. Our logo is an hourglass, with each grain of sand representing a moment in time, a precious memory that we cherish. At Life Fest, we will have the opportunity to write on paper “grains of sand” these precious memories, and add them to our large hourglass banner. If you would like to get a head start now, visit our virtual hourglass page and share a “gift of time” and make a donation to support another GIST patient’s attendance at Life Fest.
It’s going to be a memorable weekend. The only thing missing from this awesome event is YOU!
