Our plan is to offer the entire in-person conference via Zoom and allow both in-person and virtual attendees to participate in the roundtable discussions as well as the Q&A during the presentations. \nThis GIST Day of Learning conference will begin at 12:00 PM so as to provide reasonable start and end times for all Canadian time zones. \nFor those unfamiliar with our GIST Day of Learning conferences\,  Life Raft Group Canada has been hosting these GIST patient and caregiver conferences across Canada since 2012\, to provide support and education for those living with GIST. This conference is open to those who have GIST\, caregivers\, family members\, friends\, healthcare providers\, and anyone who wishes to learn more about GIST.  This will be our 11th GIST Day of Learning. \nThere is no charge for attending the GIST Day of Learning. \nThis conference will include: \n\nInformative sessions\nRoundtable discussions in which all attendees can participate\nLots of opportunity to meet informally with other attendees as well as the speakers\nBuffet lunch and refreshments\n\nREGISTERWhen you register\, you will be asked to indicate if you are planning to attend in-person or to attend virtually via Zoom.

In 2010\, David spent a sabbatical term working in the laboratory of Dr. Jonathan Fletcher\, a leading GIST researcher at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. David is a member of the Science Team of The Life Raft Group (USA) and collaborates with GIST patient support groups around the world.  His research interests are in the field of Molecular Toxicology.
