Wishes do come true.
As part of our GIST 31 Wishes campaign, Assistant Program Director Mildred Menos’ wish was for every state in the US to be represented with one or more LRG leaders so that no matter where they live, GISTers have a network close to home to lean on.
We are happy to report that since that post, four new leaders have come forth to volunteer to be a part of the LRG support network.
Please welcome Carrie Callister, a new co-leader for Utah, Barbara Auw, our new Georgia representative, Jeff Davis representing West Coast Florida, and Cindy Betz for Kentucky.
State leaders are an important part of the LRG network, providing important person-to-person contact to help members know they are not in this journey alone. We still need state leaders or co-leaders in AK, AR, CT, HI, IN, KS, IN, MS, NE, NJ, NM, NC, ND, OH, OR, RI, SD, VT, WA, WV and WY. Responsibilities include being a point of contact for members in your state, welcoming new members and planning meetings and get togethers.
