As we pass the one-year anniversary of the global COVID-19, we took some time to reflect on all we have done virtually as an organization throughout the year. In the midst of this reflection, we wanted to take a breath and say a special thank you to our Major Donors.
During the last twelve months, we successfully arranged numerous virtual fundraising and educational events to support our LRG community. Our GIST Entertainment series provided sessions of mindfulness and trivia fun. Though we had to postpone our bi-annual Life Fest conference, we carried on virtually with several presentations with from our GIST Specialists. We also hosted two virtual GIST DO IT Walks in July and September in memory of GISTer Ted Wolf. 2020 wrapped up with a celebration for our ‘Women in Sarcoma,’ which honored women who have made a significant impact in the lives of sarcoma patients, with a virtual gala held in memory of cancer warrior Nikki Morales.
All these events would not be possible without your support. As a non-profit, we thrive, and our community thrives, because of your generosity. We are grateful for all you have done for the LRG this year! Thank you for helping us continue our work to enhance survival and quality of life for people living with GIST.
