This presentation, which was originally given to Life Raft Group staff, gives an overview of the history of medications approved for GIST as well as a couple of major ones in clinical trials as of November of 2019, mentions how the overall focus of drug development has shifted from medications created with other diseases in mind and later approved for GIST to ones designed from the onset to specifically target GIST mutations, and also stresses the importance of mutational testing in such a target-focused environment.
