A recent study published in Oncology Letters,  discusses  the importance of effective therapy management of  sunitinib (Sutent) in order to obtain maximum clinical benefit, which includes adequate side effects management and optimization of dosing and treatment duration.

The study describes three clinical cases in which therapy with sunitinib was continued by adopting alternative reduced schedules or an additional loco-regional treatment in order to manage toxicities or overcome progressive disease.
