Fundación GIST México celebrated GIST Awareness Day with these actitivities:
Spot on local radio. “GISTJuntos”
This spot which was broadcast 4 times a day from July 8th to 14th . The spot had a total of 56 reproductions.
With this, we obtained a very positive outreach and 2 new patients with GIST arrived and are already receiving attention and information.
Campaign with commemorative Facebook custom profile frame #GISTJuntos.
In this campaign we collaborate with AlianzaGIST to place this frame on the Facebook profile of Latin patients with GIST. Around 15 Mexican patients participated and shared their photo.
GIST Day of Learning “#GISTJuntos Aprendiendo”
Latin GIST patients were invited to this session, in which 5 different speakers participated including a psychologist, a personal training, a social worker, two dietitians and Dr. David Heredia, Medical Oncologist, from INCan.
A total of 35 patients attended and the session lasted from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Thirty Mexican patients and 18 members of the volunteer team participated sending their photo. The photos where shared every hour on our Facebook page

Our volunteer team developed two videos of GIST Pathophysiology:

Members of the volunteer team participated in the design of GIST infographics Posted on Facebook: Pathophysiology of GIST, GIST awareness day, Ripretinib infographic.

Academic session volunteer team
We had a volunteer reunion where we reviewed the paper INVICTUS. (Ripretinib Phase III)
40 participants from the medical community attended.
From this meeting, 10 more doctors joined our team of volunteers.
