Join us in celebrating a remarkable milestone in the life of David Wolfe, one of our newest GIST Mentors, as he hosts an extraordinary fundraiser for his 70th birthday.
In 2020, David Wolfe received a life-changing diagnosis of GIST. His journey took a positive turn when he discovered The Life Raft Group and followed their guidance to connect with a specialized GIST care team at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Today, he is not only feeling well but also determined to make a difference.
As he marks his 70th birthday, David has chosen to step out of the “Cancer Closet” and share his GIST journey, along with a heartfelt birthday wish:
“Normally, I wouldn’t ask for or expect a gift. However, this year, I’m requesting something truly special. This is my birthday GIST appeal:
Discover the GIST. Join me in spreading awareness about GIST. Let’s ensure that more people are informed about this cancer.
Battle the GIST. Support me in aiding GISTers by donating to The Life Raft Group (LRG). The LRG was an invaluable resource when I first encountered GIST. They continue to provide assistance through their GIST Chat group, seminars, research funding, and mentor program.”
