The LRG was extremely excited to partner with GIST Support International (led by Ginger Sawyer) to provide #GISTeducation to the GIST community by combining both the GIST Summit and our GIST Day of Learning (GDOL) at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Over 150 people registered for this event. It was a wonderful opportunity for us (Sara Rothschild & Laura Occhiuzzi) to meet so many new patients and caregivers. These weekends are so rewarding. We welcomed many new members to The Life Raft Group because of our conversations. We were so appreciative of having the chance to introduce ourselves as a resource to a larger community.
