The Life Raft Group is launching two new private Facebook Support Groups for patients and their caregivers. These two groups are designed to provide a safe forum to discuss specific concerns in a closed environment.
The first group is for patients taking Qinlock (ripretinib) and their caregivers. Hosted by The Life Raft Group, this private group is intended to allow patients and caregivers to receive information/support on Qinlock (ripretinib) and to share their overall experiences (good or bad) with this treatment. The goal of this private group is to discuss key topics that will provide insight about Qinlock (ripretinib). Patients may share topics like side effects, dosages, tips for other patients, and support. Members will also have the opportunity to interact and provide insight to others who are taking the same drug or experiencing the same side effects.
The second group is for those participating in or are interested in Cogent’s new clinical trial. Hosted by The Life Raft Group, this private group is intended to allow patients and caregivers to share and discuss information about Cogent’s new clinical trial, CGT9486 or CGT9486+sunitinib, for Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST). Posts will be about patients’ experience with the trial, side effects, dosages, tips for other patients, and support. Members will also have the opportunity to meet other people that are undergoing the same trial or are considering joining this trial. People are free to share their success stories and current treatment path.
Please note: These groups are only for GIST patients and caregivers. No outside members affiliated with any other parties are allowed. LRG staff members will moderate and may contribute to the conversation.
