GIST Mentor & Board Member John Abrams’ personal fundraiser to benefit the LRG’s patient education programs & resources and GIST research will be held at Uncorked Kitchen in Centennial, Colorado. A longtime GIST advocate and supporter of the work the LRG does, John is putting his best efforts & passion into this event with help from the team at The Life Raft Group. Read John’s story here.

Dear Friends,
I trust this message finds you in good health and high spirits. I’m incredibly grateful for your previous responses regarding the upcoming culinary FUNdraiser in support of GIST patients and caregivers. Your generous support has been heartening.
The event will take place at the splendid Uncorked Kitchen in Centennial, Colorado, on October 28th from 6-9PM, following the GIST Day of Learning at UC Health in Aurora, CO. I’m looking forward to reuniting with those of you who have already RSVP’d and warmly welcome those who are still considering joining us.
Our evening at Uncorked Kitchen promises to be a delightful culinary journey, guided by the skilled chefs who will help us craft exquisite dishes, share heartwarming stories, and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded individuals. Together, we’ll create lasting memories and, more importantly, make a significant impact on the lives of GIST patients and their caregivers.
At Uncorked Kitchen they have several wonderful and talented chef instructors. Combined with their culinary team, they have over 60 years of cooking experience! Each chef brings their own personality and flair to their events making it not only informative but also fun. All of their chef’s have at least 2 years of experience as an executive chef or similar and at least one year of teaching experience. Every instructor is trained in the Uncorked Kitchen experience and is there to guide you on your culinary journey ensuring that you leave satiated both in mind and in body.

Become an LRG FUNdraiser!
John is one of the many GISTers who has gone beyond donating and has used his talent and passion to create a fundraising vehicle to further GIST research. Since May, when we began our Fueling GIST Research campaign, 20 other GIST advocates have used personal fundraisers to raise fund towards the work of the LRG.
